TOP ITEMS NEW PARENTS EXPECT TO RECEIVE AS GIFTS

Hey guys as I mentioned before in my previous post money can play a very important part when planning to have a baby. Research says that new parents need at least £5,500 in the
bank when planning for a baby to cover the costs of a pram, cot and the thousands of nappies to name a few, but do we really wait and save up the money. The truth is NO. 99% of people who want to have children dont have that kind of money in the bank before they have children.

So where does all the essential baby stuff come from?
Reasearch shows that new parents to be in 2013 dont expect to go it alone financially and even expect friends and family to help support them, turning the new born into a full family affair.

 So why has this happened?
Well due the the uncertain economy and possibly a generous upbringing, many new parents  go through with the birth and expect friends and family to make up for the shortfall.

Below is result of a survey in which 1000 people were asked what they would expect friends and family to buy for the new arrival;

1. Toys
2. Pram / buggy
3. Car seat
4. Cot
5. Baby toiletries
6. Designer clothes
7. Nappies
8. High chair
9. Child’s nursery furniture
10. Contribution to savings account
11. Milk
